Mission Statement- Finance Department City of Elizabethton

 It’s the goal of the Finance Department of the City of Elizabethton to serve our citizens in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.   Those who work in the finance department wish to be of service, and understand it is their responsibility to provide support when called upon.
“It’s our strong desire to be of assistance when called upon,” states Deborah Kessler, Director of Finance.   “My staff and I take our responsibilities very seriously and want to be a resource for people who have situations that need to be addressed and questions to be answered.”
The City of Elizabethton Finance Department oversees all matters pertaining to the city’s budget and is responsible for finances for the General Fund, Governmental Funds, Utilities (Sanitation, Water/Sewer, Electric).
