FIRE STATIONS

The Elizabethton Fire Department operates 3 Fire Stations within a 9 square mile area.

FIRE STATION #1 -CENTRAL FIRE HALL
EFD Station 1
Fire Station #1, built in 1961, serves as EFD Headquarters and is manned by 5 full-time Firemen per shift, including the Shift Captain and Sergeant. Station 1 also serves as home to the EFD Administrative and Fire Prevention offices. Station 1 maintains and operates 3 frontline Fire Apparatus (E-5, E-7 & Brush-1).

STATION #2 -DENNIS YOUNCE FIRE STATION
EFD Station 2
Fire Station 2, built in 1970, is manned by 2 full-time Firemen per shift. Station 2 maintains and operates 1 frontline Fire Apparatus (E-6) and 1 reserve Fire Apparatus (E-3). Station 2 is named after retired Fire Chief Dennis Younce, who served as EFD Chief 1958-1982.

STATION #3 -BILL CARTER FIRE STATION

EFD Staion 3
Fire Station 3, built in 1997, is manned by 3 full-time Firemen per shift. Station 3 maintains and operates 2 frontline Fire Apparatus (E-4 & Ladder-1). Station 3 is named after retired Fire Chief Bill Carter, who served as EFD Chief 1982-1997.
