LT Andy Wetzel   Battalion Chief, Andy Wetzel joined the Elizabethton Fire Department in 1998 and was promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief in December 2018. Chief Wetzel had Previously served as Lieutenant since August of 2016. Chief Wetzel, who came to EFD with no prior Emergency Services experience, earned his B.S. in Education from ETSU and worked as a Teacher/Coach for the Elizabethton City School System prior to coming to work for EFD. Lieutenant Wetzel became a Military Serviceman in 1991 and currently serves as a Military Reservist. Lieutenant Wetzel is also a small business owner within the community.

LT Dennis Erwin  Lieutenant, Dennis Erwin has been a member of the Elizabethton Fire Department since 1994 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in August of 2016. Before coming to work for EFD, Lieutenant Erwin worked as an EMT for Sharp's Ambulance Service and was a member of the Hampton/Valley Forge VFD. Lieutenant Erwin is a member of the Army National Guard's 776th Maintenance Company, where he has served since 1987 and is currently Detachment Sergeant for the 776th Maintenance Company in Mountain City, TN.

Sergeant Rick Riddle   Sergeant, Rick Riddle joined the Elizabethton Fire Department in 1995 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in August of 2016. Sergeant Riddle had previously worked as an EMT for the Carter County Rescue Squad and got his start in Emergency Services as a member of the Watauga Volunteer Fire Department. Sergeant Riddle has also served as a volunteer Rescue Technician for the Carter County Rescue Squad, as a volunteer S.W.A.T. Medic for the Carter County Sheriff's Department and is a former Marine Reservist.
