Cat Island Park
Overview:

Elizabethton offers miles of park-land, playgrounds, biking trails, walking trails and scenic pavilions for citizens and visitors. These amenities are open to the public for use and in some cases, can be rented for private functions and events.

Playgrounds & Parks are a popular amenity to citizens. On pretty afternoons they are heavily used for families enjoying the fresh air and its hours of enjoyment. Parks and playgrounds located in the City include Harmon Park, Cat Island Park, Covered Bridge Park, Edwards Island, Walter Curtis Park, Riverside Park, Kiwanis Park and Douglas Park. Most are equipped with playgrounds and pavilions. Douglas and Cat Island Park additionally have ball fields and Cat Island is equipped with tennis courts for public use.

Pavilions are a popular place to hold birthday parties, family reunions and special gatherings. The City offers private rentals of some of our most popular pavilions. Those that are not available to reserve operate on a first-come-first-serve basis. See the bottom of this page for detailed information about pavilion rentals.
