| The City of Elizabethton Sanitation department is staffed by eight employees. This includes two residential crews each consisting of one driver and two sanitation workers. There are two commercial crews that consist of a driver. The rear loader garbage trucks service approximately 5,175 residential and small commercial customers each week. There are approximately 280 bulk container accounts that are serviced with two front loader garbage trucks. On average the Sanitation department hauls approximately 10,000 tons of garbage per year. |  |
