Storm Drain Maintenance

 Storm drain maintenance – The Street department maintains the storm drain system to reduce the chance of flooding and the destruction of property. The Street department works with the Storm Water Coordinator to ensure that the storm drain system is accurate.

Grass clippings and leaves blown into the street during yard maintenance end up in the nearest waterway. Storm water runoff washes clippings and other yard waste from our streets, sidewalks and driveways into the city’s storm drains, which lead directly to creeks and rivers in the area.
