Mayor Curt Alexander
Curt Alexander was elected
to his first term on Elizabethton City Council in November of 2004. He
won a four-year term by earning 2,800 votes to lead voting totals for
the three winning candidates. He was then elected Mayor in November
2006.
A lifelong resident of
Elizabethton, Alexander graduated from Elizabethton High School in
1990. He also graduated from East Tennessee State University (ETSU)
with an undergraduate degree in Accounting and earned a Masters of
Business Administration (MBA) from ETSU as well. Alexander also holds
the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Alexander works as a
Financial Advisor with the local Edward Jones Investments office in
Elizabethton. He also serves as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor of
Accounting and Finance at ETSU. He is a member of the Board of
Directors of the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce. He was
named to the Tri-Cities Business Journal’s
“40 Under Forty”, which recognizes successful business leaders in the
community who are under the age of forty.
