Covered Bridge Jams
The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department has released the 2024 Covered Bridge Jams Schedule. Covered Bridge Jams will open the summer music series June 8th featuring the Thursday Night Boys 7:00PM at Covered Bridge Park.
“We look forward to another successful season of music and entertainment,” said David Nanney, Recreation Manager. Covered Bridge Jams is a weekly concert series that runs from June through August. Covered Bridge Jams will feature a variety of music ranging from country, bluegrass, blues, and rock on Saturday nights from 7-9 pm at Covered Bridge Park.
“As a part of Covered Bridge Jams again this year, we will host a special Bluegrass event on June 15th starting 12:00pm called “Covered Bridge Bluegrass Jamboree’. The night will feature another award-winning line-up. Headliners will be the Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) in 2019, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers and the 2023 IBMA Vocal Group of the Year and New Artist of the Year, Authentic Unlimited.
Our Independence Day Celebration will be held July 4th . We welcome SPANK THE 80’s as our musical guest for this salute to America! Followed by the Best Fireworks Display that you will find anywhere.
On August 24th Covered Bridge Jams will host Rockin’ on the Doe, our signature Rock & Roll show. This year we will showcase the Music of “On The Border” The Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band.
"We are extremely excited about this year's concert series and hope that citizens in this community and those in our surrounding areas will come out and enjoy some great music in a beautiful park setting," said Nanney.
Covered Bridge Jams is a special event that showcases local, regional and nationally known musicians and the beauty of our historic park and downtown Elizabethton”. All Covered Bridge Jams Concerts are free to the public.
"The Elizabethton Parks & Recreation Department is thrilled to present the 10th season of Covered Bridge Jams and hope families will come out and enjoy the music and atmosphere," stated Nanney. This year we will have food trucks at each show."
